The 2004 Reserva reflects the greatness of the vintage. Purple in color, it reveals aromas of smoke, Asian spices, incense, blackberry, and licorice. Dense and layered on the palate, it will benefit from another 2-3 years of bottle age. Drink it through 2019 if not longer. ~ Robert Parker
Winemaking: The Reserva was aged for three years in American Oak, giving it that vuluptuous vanilla and smoothness. The owner, Luis Canas, remains involved in the winery. He stands at the head of the selection table each harvest, ensuring only the best grapes are used. The 2004 vintage is considered a classic vintage in Rioja.
Food Match: Prime eye fillet, or lamb with a heavy red wine reduction.
