Intense plum colored with purple tints. Lifted aromas of dried fruit and red cherries. Lovely soft rich mouth feel with complex characters of spice, plum and complex hints of tobacco. The finish lingers with fruit sweetness and firm ripe tannins. ~Winery Note

Winemaking: The fruit was hand harvested to obtain maximum flavour and ripeness. There are small batch lots for fermentation, with a proportion of fruit being cold soaked for natural fermentaiton and a proportion being inoculated directly. Punching down and pump over were used to extract colour and tannins from the skin. Malolactic fermentation was completed in both tank and barrel, with both French and American oak being used (some new and some seasoned). ~Dan Barker
